Dambe/Danbe
Visitors from Nigeria have sent us rare photos of the ancient Hausa
sport of Dambe, sometimes spelled "Danbe".
This ancient form of boxing was once widespread in Norther Nigeria and Niger,
but is almost undocumented today. If you have any information about
the sport, please send it to dambe@martial-arts.ca and
we'll try to increase knowledge of the sport in the martial arts community.
