Martial-Arts.ca was created by Documen Information Design, Inc. (www.documen.com), an experienced Web development and communications firm. If your club needs a simple, inexpensive Web site to promote your activities, please contact us at sites@martial-arts.ca. We can advise you on every aspect of Web development and online promotion.

Our listings are free of charge. However, if you would like to put up a second page linked to your listing containing tournament results, martial arts history, photos, or more about your club, we'll charge $50 for each additional page. This remains the least expensive way to get information about your club and your sport out there on the Web. Martial-arts.ca is consistently ranked number one on Canadian search engines for martial arts clubs and topics, and a supplementary message will get your club or seminar noticed!

Martial-arts.ca operates with no commercial support, and without the use of pop-up ads, spyware, trojan horse adware, or "free" software that hijacks your computer. We do not sell email Adresses and we hate spam! The Google ads you see are supposed to be related to the martial arts and help to defray the costs of hosting this site. Martial-Arts.ca has never made a profit.

Domains and domain hosting
Martial-Arts.ca owns the domain names ippon.ca, jiu-jitsu.ca, sambo.ca, pancrase.ca, pankration.ca, kickboxing.ca, sensei.ca, tae-kwon-do.ca, and Martial-Arts.ca. If you would like to set up a Web site using these names, please contact us. Your website URL would read something like www.kickboxing.ca/Your_Club_Name.htm.

Email Adresses
We can also arrange for you to have a custom email address such as yourname@sensei.ca.

Site Maintenance
With the help of Macromedia's Contribute, we can set you up so you can update your own Web pages as often as you wish. Contribute is an extremely simple Website editor. This is the most inexpensive way to keep in touch with your students, post up-to-the-minute news and tournament results, and maintain an attractive, professional presence on the Internet.

Graphic Design
You're a martial artist, not a graphic artist! (And your Web site proves it...) Our graphic designers can create a terrific logo for your club, and put it on stickers, patches, flags, or banners. We can also create custom brochures, posters, and other promotional materials for your club.

Professional Writing Assistance
You're a martial artist, not a writer! (And your Web site proves it...) As a group, martial arts Websites are among the most poorly written sites on the Web. Many are filled with spelling errors and clunky phrases that honestly make your club look dumb. Furthermore, so many martial artists are from other countries, and speak English as a second language, that creating quality promotional materials is a challenge. We can help!

Tournament and Seminar Promotion
Our visitors regularly ask for tournament and seminar information. If you want your seminar to be a success, you need to get the word out there! For $50, we will send an email promoting your club's event to every club for which we have an email address. The new faces you'll see will more than pay for the advertising costs. NOTE: We do not sell email address lists to commercial advertisers (or anyone else)!

Video Conversion
Do you have video of your club or its activities you'd like to put up on the Web? We can convert any sort of video to Web-friendly formats (.avi, mpeg, etc.) for $50 per clip (five minutes or less).
